First: understand how the system works
EVA connects you to events through two routes: (1) you receive a notification about an open event and submit an offer, and (2) a planner browses the roster and invites you directly. Your booking activity depends on both the quality of your profile and the volume of matching events in your market.
Common reasons for low booking activity
Your tags and location don't match available events
EVA's matching system uses the tags on your profile to send you relevant events. If your genre, occasion type, or location tags are too narrow, you may miss events you'd be a fit for. Review your tags and make sure they accurately represent your full range.
Your profile needs stronger media
Planners decide whether to invite you — or accept your offer — largely based on what they see on your profile. High-quality photos from live performances, a well-produced video, and a clear bio dramatically improve your chances. A profile with no photos or only candid shots will consistently lose to one with professional media.
Your pricing may be out of range
If your rates are consistently above or below the budgets of events you're submitting for, you'll hear back less. Try targeting events whose budget range aligns with your typical rate.
Low submission volume
Booking is partly a numbers game, especially early on. Consistent, tailored submissions to relevant events increase your overall chances. The more active you are, the better EVA's matching system can calibrate to your style.
Market event volume
Some markets have more events than others, and volume fluctuates by season. If your home market is quiet, expanding your location tags to nearby cities can open up more opportunities.
